Gaylords now rebranded as The Plantation House by Gaylords offers one of Kauai's most beautiful settings for lunch, dinner and happy hour. Located in the historic Kilohana Plantation home, diners are seated around an open-air courtyard with views of the plantation grounds and Mt. Waialeale in the distance. Our kitchen uses only the freshest, seasonal ingredients supporting our local farmers and fishermen. Our 67-acre sustainable farm provides much of the produce and herbs used in our dishes and cocktails. Menu items include starters like fresh Ahi poke, fried brie, fresh seafood, delicious steaks and vegan entrees too. Don't forget about our famous Banana Cream Pie for dessert! Take a walk around the Kilohana grounds, shop in our assorted boutiques, visit the Koloa Rum shop, go on a rum safari adventure or take a ride on the plantation train. Caffe Coco at Kauai in Kapaa, Hawaii offers locally sourced ingredients that are built into dishes crafted with love. You can enjoy dinner under the stars in the Waialua area. This restaurant offers delicious and healthy organic cuisine in a backyard setting. All menu items at Caffe Coco can be made vegan, as well as gluten-free. In addition to fantastic food, you can also try a virgin specialty drink or one of many desserts. For a starter, you can try the pumpkin coconut soup, summer rolls with peanut sauce or locally baked garlic toast. There are also salad and sandwiches options, like the ahi sandwich with wasabi aioli and pineapple salsa.     This is our fourth trip to Kauai and the first time visiting this restaurant and the plantation grounds. By far after a week here on the island, this was our best meal hands-down. The Crudo appetizer is absolutely phenomenal and the best we've ever had anywhere.  The fresh catch of the day entrée was equally phenomenal as were the craft cocktails we had. We sat at an outside table looking out to the plantation grounds, which are beautiful and I recommend outside seating if you can get it. This restaurant was a complete surprise to us so I am hoping this review will entice some of you to put this on your list as this will be a definite stop for us going forward every time we visit the island.

    I love everything about this restaurant. The food is extraordinary and the service could not have been better. It was the best way to wrap up our vacation in Kauai. I’d highly recommend it.

    The food was fantastic. We had the filet, short ribs and grilled catch of the day. My daughter has a nut allergy so the manager was kind enough to ask chef to make an exception to his plate regarding her entree. Thank you!! It was delicious! Everything was fantastic! Try the fillet and the homage sorbets, they are wonderful!! Great atmosphere and wonderful friendly staff. Thank you for such a nice experience! We will be back!! ❤️❤️❤️
