Best Healthy Restaurants in Near Southside

We had a great time getting together with friends. It was the perfect place.

Unique and exquisitely prepared menu. Very attentive and personable staff. My wife and I thought we'd be sensible and split a salad and a sandwich from the weekday lunch menu; both were stunning. The Pear Salad (Red Wine Poached Pear, Point Reyes Blue Cheese, Candied Walnuts, Castelfranco Radicchio, Frisée, Ice Wine Vinaigrette)...enough for two by itself. Also split the Autumn Grilled Cheese sandwich (Apple Maple Bacon Jam, Fontina, Brie on Whole Wheat)...perfectly assembled and toasted. Oh, and the sandwich comes with Choice of Simple House Salad, French Fries or Old Bay Potato Chips. So for us, fries! A menu full of wonderfully hard decisions, all with floor to ceiling glass windows looking out over the pond and park and architecture of The Modern.

We decided that our meal at Toro Toro ended up as one of our top 10 of all time. All the meats with the Churasco and the tomahawk steak were cooked to perfection and very high quality cuts of meat. The Brussel sprouts and grilled avocado were the favorite sides, although the grilled mac and cheese and carrots were just ok, nothing special but overall an incredible meal.

Amazing food and service ! Pinstripes has been our best find this year! The chef is creative and has a rare talent for blending flavors just right! Favs: salmon, chicken avocado flat bread, and that healthy salad. Fries are the BEST anywhere. Great happy hour choices. Service : Taylor is amazing!
