Butterjoint is a comfy bar and restaurant located in North Oakland. Our welcoming and eclectic atmosphere is appropriate for almost any occasion - whether it be meeting a friend for a drink, celebrating an important event, or relaxing after work. Vallozzi's started over 50 years ago when Helen Vallozzi was selling homemade pastas out of her home. Helen opened a take out restaurant in Latrobe, PA a few years later where her popularity exploded. In 1977, Ernie Vallozzi moved his mothers location to Greensburg where it is still open and operating today. In 2012 Ernie's son Julian expanded the tradition in to downtown Pittsburgh. Vallozzi's Pittsburgh has recently joined a mere 1,200 restaurants worldwide as a recipient of the Wine Spectator Magazine's Best of Award of Excellence and is the only Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh to receive such an honor. My daughter & I went to Ritual House for the first time last night. We got seated in a booth near the bar. We ordered a bread board and the edamame, both were good! I ordered the Asian inspired chicken and got the sauce on the side, as recommended by the waiter. The chicken was moist and the breading perfectly done! The sauce was on the sweeter side (almost like syrup), so I am glad it was on the side. Didn’t care for the slaw. My daughter got a grilled chicken Caesar salad, she said it was good! We will definitely be back to try some different food.

Fantastic drinks and cocktails. Love the atmosphere on the bar side. The food is usually amazing - fried pickles were less crunchy than usual and the chicken sandwich was good- but not as outstanding as usual. Overall love the place. Hoping it was just an off day.

I met a friend for dinner on a Thursday night and we had a great time catching up. The food is delicious, the service prompt, warm, and friendly, and the atmosphere cozy. Parking can be somewhat of a bear, but Lucca's is worth that relatively small inconvenience.
