Supremely Asian American. Eastern cooking technique. Taking inspiration from the night markets of Asia and his Korean-American childhood, Chef Edward Kim pairs eastern cooking techniques with Chicago ingredients to create umami-laden flavors, juxtaposing tastes and textures for a wildly exciting menu. A festive and lively dining scene is anchored by a well-lauded bar program and an open pantry, inviting our guests further into the kitchen experience. 100% Plant-Based restaurant in Wicker Park. We have always had the core belief of being as good to ourselves (and the earth) as possible, but as we grow, we have always wanted to do more. With this desire, we decided to open Bloom Plant Based kitchen. Not only is eating a more plant-based diet healthier and more forgiving to one’s body, but it is significantly better for the environment. However, with healthy plant-based options not being the popular choice, we know we have stiff competition. Therefore, our intention with Bloom is to focus on bringing flavorful, healthy, and affordable plant-based food to families while also being desirable and appealing to everyone regardless of their diet.

We love the elegance of the HOLIDAY TEA event. It is fun to pretend to be rich for an hour! Our server was so cordial and so accommodating. The scones/rolls were SO GOOD! We love all of the sandwiches except smoked salmon. We are not fish-lovers. The desserts are not only delicious but also so pretty! It was our delightful Christmas celebration for four church musicians who are usually entertaining others during the holiday season. We always come for the harpist ❤️

This place is fantastic! Don’t let the unassuming old school diner look fool you - food and service here were top notch. Took my bestie here for her first night out since having a baby and although we may not have, this place kept it classy! Our group of 4 arrived, having already imbibed, quite rambunctious and ready to take it further. The server handled us and the situation with grace. Yasmin was kind and patient as she took our order and played it cool when the topic of drinks came up. Without drawing attention, they kept the waters flowing and the fried appetizers coming. The food was a surprise and delight as each dish ordered arrived looking different than any of us had imagined. Potted carrots, frito misto, and the grapes in the ravioli were just a few of the delights. Was it the pre-game, or is this a fun menu? We may never know. That said, they didn’t make a scene when my friend lost her napkin 6x or had red lipstick on her face and hands, or when the new mom pulled the pumps off at the table. If you saw us, no you didn’t. While we eventually redeemed ourselves enough to be allowed 1 round of drinks with our pasta dishes, we left quietly and on our own accord, ensuring Yasmin was given an additional tip on top of the included 25% gratuity. Thanks for having us and treating us with care. We love you, Daisies!

The food lived up to the hype. Everything was presented beautifully and more importantly tasted amazing. We ordered half the menu and our server paced the food perfectly and even split some of the dishes on separate plates, which was a nice touch. They cleared our plates and gave us new silverware after each course. Drinks were also delicious and so was the wine. All and all fabulous.
