Water Wheel Tavern is an historic Bucks County landmark originally built in 1714 by John Dyer, an English Quaker. It existed for centuries as a water wheel driven grist mill, and later hosted both a post office and a general store.     We had another wonderful experience at Black Bass Hotel! It’s one of our favorite restaurants to visit when we come to New Hope! Our server, Karen was awesome! It’s obvious that she loves her job! She gave us some great recommendations and all were delicious! We had the scallops appetizer. The scallops were large and fresh! My husband had the salmon and I had the cod. Both very tasty and cooked to perfection! Karen asked me if I had any allergy to cheese since it was in the sauce. They made my cod to order with just a little butter and it was perfect! We ended our meal with the incredibly flavorful French pressed coffee and the s’mores dessert. Karen went above and beyond to make our experience special. We will be back, and we hope to get Karen as our server again!

    The food was very good. The ambience was wonderful. We would come back again. My friend and I had a leisurely lunch and we’re not rushed out at all. We can leave time to catch up on our old experience. We also sat next to a lovely fireplace.
