Best Historic Restaurants in Crownsville

I have been dining at Cafe Normandie since I was a midshipman (an early female) at the Naval Academy. I now live in Annapolis and this is one of my truly favorites. Do not miss the escargot !

Ate dinner at the Rams Head Tavern prior to a show at the Rams Head On Stage. The dinner was not fancy or elegant, but it was perfect for a pre-show meal. I didn't feel stuffed, or uncomfortably full. There was a 10% discount since it was a pre-show reservation, and if you use Gotts Garage a QR code is provided for a discount on parking fees. AND, as a long-time Annapolitan and semi-frequent customer, I do believe the Rams Head Tavern has lowered their dinner prices post pandemic!

Excellent authentic Italian cuisine. Excellent wine selections — all Italian. Our waitress was perfect in her recommendations and contributions to a delightful evening. service was very attentive.

Went here for a light meal and decided to sit at the bar. Had the lobster bisque which was good. Several good wine selections and their house red is pretty good. They had a house band playing which brough some energy to the dining area. Band played a couple of sets. Overall great establishment.

Excellent reception, service and food. Old friends seeing each other after long absence. Restaurant was gracious giving us extended time to visit before and after eating. All four meals were delicious (crab cakes, chic sandwich, rockfish and watermelon salad). Accommodated special requirements of one diner for no alcohol (cooked or otherwise) with grace and generosity. We’d definitely go back when back in Annapolis.
