Best Historic Restaurants in Downtown

We had the Yuletide lunch menu which was wonderful. The taste, presentation, and quality were first rate. Our server, Julie, was extremely pleasant and attentive while the Hawthorn Dining Room exceeded our expectations. We will be returning in future for other meals.

Food and service were both excellent, the sommelier picked out the perfect wine for us as well. We tried the 5 course tasting menu and everything was phenomenal, especially the dessert (the white chocolate mousse with cucumber sorbet). Overall, an excellent evening and I will definitely return.

I had a fantastic anniversary dinner at Annabelle’s Kitchen Downtown. The food was exceptional, clearly made with care, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere was great, though a loud customer caused a slight disruption. Overall, a wonderful experience that I’ll definitely repeat!

What a fabulous evening out! Unique setting. I did not realize my husband had not been to Gasoline Alley before when I booked our evening out. He was in heaven. Beautiful old cars and his favourite Christmas movie on the big screen. Also, I must say that I have a better appreciation of the movie after this dinner and a movie experience. Truth be known, this was the first time I have watched the entire movie without falling asleep. Thank you, Julia and everyone, for being so attentive. And the food! Oh my … that soup! And the chicken! … with a juicy roasted half lemon! Who knew that would be so good together? (Obviously the chef!) Thank you for a lovely evening and a delicious meal.

My Son takes me out each year for my Birthday. We try to dine at restaurants that have been on our list, but have not eaten at. Model Milk was this years choice. When we looked at the menu prior to our reservation nothing jumped out at us as an absolutely must try item. That all changed once we ordered and started eating, no started experiencing the dishes we had chosen. We both were blown away with absolute perfection. We ordered almost all of the small dishes and every one was delicious. To anyone who may read this, don’t judge a book , or in this case menu. By its cover. Model milk is now one of our favorite restaurants. EAT EVERYTHING! You won’t regret it.
