Best Historic Restaurants in Downtown

My dinner experience last night was nothing short of exceptional! Every morsel of the steak and pasta was a masterclass in flavor and texture. 30 day wet age - 10oz Beef Filet with fresh blue crab fonduta, wood grilled and sliced to perfection. Cacio e pepe spaghetti. Red Ash in Austin is pushing the boundaries of Italian cuisine.. make sure to add it to your bucket list!! We drive up there just to eat at this spot.. be sure to book your reservations well in advance, as they're always in high demand! Beautiful atmosphere and amazing service every time!

First time eating here and let me tell you me and the rest of my group loved it! The food was absolutely delicious from the Cesar salad to the rigatoni truffle sausage. I can’t wait to go back and try something else!

Sliders: 10/10 Stuffed Mushrooms: 10/10 Steak and Tots: 10/10 Escargot: (Charred) 2/10 NY Strip: 10/10 Bacon Wrapped Filet: 8/10 Asparagus: 9/10 Lump Crap/Sauces: 9/10 Bread: 10/10 Au Gratin Potatoes: 10/10 Grilled Veggies: 8/10 (carrots undercooked) Dessert Trio: 10/10 Creme Brulee: 10/10 Paloma: 9/10 Blueberry Cucumber Martini: 10/10 Service: 10/10 (knowledgeable, swift, personal, upselling) Lighting/Environment: 10/10 Definitely will be back! Porkchops and Seafood next visit!

Absolutely amazing! We had the crispy green beans, 3 meat platter, the half chicken, mac and cheese, beans, and lemon pie. The half chicken is one of the best I’ve ever eaten. The sides were so delicious and the bbq was tender and flavorful. We had a wonderful waitress and really enjoyed the cool, moody atmosphere.

Best vesper martini we’ve ever had in our life. You can tell there is skill and how they make the cocktails that’s different from anywhere else. Also my clover club was on point and excellent . Hands-down will be Uber in there and getting cocktails pre-dinner and will take my friends there for sure just because they offer the highest quality of classic cocktails. There’s no riff on it. It’s just perfect classic cocktails . parking around that area gets a little bit shady and it’s difficult unless you come early, I can snag a street spot in front. I don’t like walking around there by myself late at night when I’m a lady, but that’s not the Roosevelt room‘s fault.
