- CCathyChicago / Illinois •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe were seated quickly as we had reservations. Farther from the beautiful tree, but we could see some of it. Our meals were delicious! We had the Lobster Biisque soup, Cranberry Citrus Chicken Salad Croissant, and Lobster Ravoli. Everything was scrumptious! Our server, Yolanda, was very attentive. Offered a few selections and brought us drinks. Online reservations were a bit challenging as time slots only opened up the day before our scheduled arrival. Overall, our experience at The Walnut Room was delightful!More infoThe Walnut Room - ChicagoPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown / Loop•4.6

- RRichardVIPChicago / Illinois •179 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe had reservations for 4 at 5 pm on Sunday. It was our annual Holiday dinner with me, my wife, her brother and his wife. We arrived at 4:30 pm and were seated promptly and ordered a coctail, La Storia Manhaatan. Our other couple arrived at 4:50 pm and also had a cocktail. We then ordered 4 appetizers, followed by two salads, beet and spinach, and a white wine. Plates and silverware were replaced after the apps and salad course. We then ordered four entrees, three pastas and the branzino and a bottle of red wine. Again new plates and silverware. We then ordered two desserts, and four after dinner drinks. Our apps were arancini, burrata, crab cakes, and a cheese and meat board. All were delicious. The two salads were also wonderful. The entrees were large and tasty. The desserts were well made. We were there for three hours and never rushed. We had a wonderful time. Service was attentive but not overbearing. The restaurant was half full. It is well decorated and pleasing to the eye. A summary of our experience. Wine and drinks = $300. Food, 4 apps, 2 salads, 4 entrees, 2 desserts = $300. Tax, fees, and tip = $200. Total $800. 4 course meal with cocktails, drinks, apertifs, $200 per person. Money well spent. Excellent Italian wine list. A secret is to try and dine when the restaurant is not overwhelmed like a special holiday. Choose times when no one is rushed, either customers or staff. It is a wonderful place for large parties or a romantic couple.More infoLa StoriaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Gold Coast / Streeterville•4.5
- EEdChicago / Illinois •20 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoVery understanding when we were delayed. Service perfect. They did their best to accommodate my daughter who is a picky eater. We ordered the cocio d pepe, steak, cevpi, squash, stragiatella, and dessert. All were delicious. Often great restaurants end with a whimper and serve a dessert that does not stand up to the rest of the meal. The udon and pistachio gelato are next level. I would happily order these again and likely will.More infoRose MaryPrice: Expensive• Croatian• West Loop•4.7
