Best Historic Restaurants in Hitchin

We have just had our first visit to The Lytton Arms and we could not speak anymore highly of the experience. We had the roast and it was absolutely delicious. We were way too full for pudding but after seeing the menu we couldn’t resist, we’re so glad we did as the cheesecake and mousse were to die for. The pub had such a homely welcoming vibe and the staff were so attentive and polite. We had a lovely chat with the manager John and could see he puts his heart and soul into what he does and it pays off. We will 100% be recommending this pub and returning! Thank you!

We have dined at Lussmans’s for many years now and it’s always our go to place for celebrations. We had a fantastic lunch the food was of the high quality we know Lussmans’s for the service was excellent as ever and the staff attentive and helpful as always.

Amazing staff and the best food & wine. All served with a smile. My wife’s Birthday celebration was just brilliant and our host was lovely and super friendly. We will definitely re-visit.

Lussmans Harpenden never disappoints. Lovely food, attentive but discreet service. Staff are on point. Eating out these days isn't cheap anywhere, so for a small amount more it's worth every penny. Beautiful setting too!

we had a lovely afternoon, our waiter was lovely, the food was lush and if i had to say anything bad i would say the tea was a bit bland, but everything else made up for it.
