- JJennyvipSan Francisco Bay Area •31 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWhat a wonderful experience at Joe Fortes—no wonder it’s an institution! We unfortunately kept experiencing delays beyond our control and had to move our booking no less than 3 times within the hour and they were so, so gracious about it. Our server, Norm, was fantastic, and gave us excellent recommendations! The food was perfection-favorites were the calamari, lobster bisque, sablefish, arctic char, and mussels (basically everything we ordered; and the pavlova (my own baking specialty) and carrot cake were perfectly delectable! I will need to come by every time I visit (I’m from California). Make sure you make reservations as they get busy!More infoJoe Fortes Seafood & Chop HousePrice: Expensive• Seafood• West End•4.6

- RRitaPortland / Oregon •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoCannot recommend Fiorino more.Fantastic meal and service. Started with Negronis, Insalata Caterina and Carpaccio. The salad was fresh, the dressing a little briny that paired perfectly with the nuts and cheese. The carpaccio was like butter; the arugula added the peppery punch that balanced the creamy red wine mayo. We then had the Polpo e Nduja which was an absolute treasure. The octopus was the best I have ever had (sorry Nonna). Mind bogglingly tender. Paired with the perfectly rendered porkbelly and slightly bitter rapini. I could have easily eaten 6 more of these and taken some to go. Added the Fritto Misto which I normally would not order but must admit was perfectly seasoned and all components cooked to perfection. The service was timely, professional and friendly. It was a bit loud at first due to a couple of happy large groups (can't really complain about people having a good time) but as those parties left the acoustics improved. Best meal of our trip thus far. Go, you won't regret it.More infoFiorinoPrice: Moderate• Italian• Chinatown•4.6
