- AAnnNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoFrom start to finish, we felt like we were in expert, caring hands. Even the person who checked our coats had a warm smile. The space is gorgeous (thank you Amanda) and the food was well-conceived and inventive without being show-offy, beautiful and completely delicious. The bay scallops were like a breath of fresh air. Thanks to Chef and the whole staff.More infoLittle WaterPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Center City•4.6
- SStephenPhiladelphia County •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWife and I came here for my birthday dinner. We arrived about 4:45 and the doors were locked. It was cold so we went across the street to a store to stay warm. A few minutes later the sign was illuminated so we correctly deduced the doors were unlocked. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The don’t seat people until 5 (not complaining, website says they open at 5). We opted to sit near the bar, which was open and serving drinks. At 5 we were seated at a table near the back. Although the place is dark, our table was well lit. We even asked for the table number to request on our next visit. Our old eyes didn’t need phone flashlights to read the menu. Our waitress (Ashley) knew the menu and answered all of our questions. As the restaurant filled up, she had 5 other tables to serve around 18 diners. Two of the tables were pushed together to accommodate a large party. Service was relaxed but didn’t suffer because there were other employees to help out. We ordered drinks which came promptly. We each ordered the Wedge Salad which was a softball sized head of iceberg lettuce, halved and covered with deliciousness. We should have ordered one to split between us. Wife ordered the Pork Chop, I ordered the 8 oz. Filet Mignon. Both were delicious and done to perfection. Of course, the real reason we chose Butcher & Singer is the Lemon Icebox Pie. We opted to take it to go. All-in-all, a great experience. We’ll definitely be returning.More infoButcher & SingerPrice: Very Expensive• Steak• Center City•4.9
- BBrookeVIPPhiladelphia County •8 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe went here for the first time and everything was incredible! The brunch is an instant classic, the service from Lucas was attentive and hospitable despite having a full section, and the manager was around and frequently checking on tables. So thrilled with this experience and we can’t wait to come back!More infoThe MorrisPrice: Expensive• American• Center City•4.7
- DDennisPhiladelphia County •35 reviews5.0Dined on 28 Dec 2024Wasn’t a major fan of the crab dip but the main entree was delicious. Service & ambience was excellent, though customers at the bar had gotten a little loud which wasn’t the restaurants fault. Overall was a good experience and will definitely be back.More infoMax's Seafood CafePrice: Expensive• Seafood• Gloucester City•4.9
- LLaurenVIPPhiladelphia County •11 reviews5.0Dined on 24 Dec 2024We went on Christmas Eve for drinks at the bar with friends and then a 5 course prix fixe dinner for 2. Both experiences were fabulous. Quality bartender and the table service team was top notch: professionally urgent, menu advice, flexible to small adjustments, on top of clearing and packaging to go, no time holes in waiting for food or drinks, EXCELLENT FOOD. I am embarrassed I lived in Philly for 21 years before coming here. I have been missing out. Will definitely be back.More infoBistro RomanoPrice: Moderate• Italian• Society Hill•4.8
