- PPATRICKLos Angeles •7 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoI'm embarrassed! I first went to M & F's in the late 70s. Over the years, I've gone with clients, friends, and family. Sunday, November 24th, I took my wife for her birthday, we were early, so we sat at the bar for a little bit. The bartenders were 2 very sweet young ladies. I mentioned to them that I've never seen such young waiters and bartenders working here. They then stated that last year, they were the 1st women to be hired in the 104-year history of M & F's. I then told them both how embarrassed I was to not notice in all the years that there weren't any women working there prior to them. They made one excellent vodka martini and a wonderful non-alcoholic drink for my wife. Love Musso-Frank's still.More infoMusso & Frank GrillPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Hollywood•4.8

Stunning sunset views, oysters, champagne, truffle fries, and a perfectly cooked steak—every detail was spot on. The vibe was chic, the service seamless, and the night unforgettable. - DDarlenevipLos Angeles •52 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoLovely night. Service was fabulous. Food was terrific. Lots of complex tastes and prep. They never make things "normally." Special. If you want a quiet experience, make sure to ask for the back dining room. Upstairs would probably be quiet too. Louder and livelier in the front room.More infoRepubliquePrice: Very Expensive• French• Hollywood•4.7
- IIraPhiladelphia County •3 reviews5.0Dined on 18 Nov 2024Shirley Brasserie was a wonderful dining experience that paired the great atmosphere of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel with great food. The Restaurant occupies a quiet part of the Lobby area and is large enough to find seating but intimate enough to feel separated from other diners. The menu is spartan but focused, as is the wine list. The appetizers we had were first-rate and handsomely presented. I would recommend the chicken liver mousse, as it was special and hadn't seen it elsewhere. I consider myself an expert on duck and generally prefer it roasted, as many restaurants don't really have the expertise to properly sear it. Not true here. The duck was properly spiced and glazed and seared just right. For this style of preparation, I've not had better. The Shirley Brasserie is not inexpensive, but considering the quality of the food and service (which was also outstanding), I would rate it as a good value. Something for a special occasion.More infoShirley BrasseriePrice: Expensive• French American• Hollywood•4.5
