Best Historic Restaurants in Roanoke

We eat at Alexander’s on special occasions (2-3 times a year) & it’s always exceptional !

Overall food is not bad however the menu needs an update. I’ve been coming here for few years and nothing changes on the menu. Same dishes , the only thing that changed is price, a lot more expensive. I’m not sure if I will be back unless new dishes will be offered.

Impeccable. One of the finest dining experiences we have ever had.

Beautifully decorated inside, staff was extremely pleasant. My overall frustration was not knowing that when we booked reservations for six people in the lounge that we would not be giving an actual table to seat at to eat. Instead of couch and a couple chairs around a low coffee table. We enjoyed appetizers and cocktails, but unfortunately had to go across the street to another restaurant for a sitdown dinner. Will go back but with a new understanding.
