Approximately eighty-percent of our menu is-- or can be-- gluten-free, as we use only canola and olive oil in all of our cooking. Fantastic meal. We’ve done Thanksgiving dinner here a couple of times. Plenty of food and all the fixings with traditional turkey or ham. Emily, our server was amazing. Always book ahead because they get busy. Love the Georgetown location. You can always also order off the regular menu. Great clam chowder and crab cakes. We always eat at Clyde’s when visiting our daughter in DC.

It's been many years since I've been to the Tabard Inn, so long ago that I was living in Dupont on Riggs Place. It was low key and funky and much smaller. The present version is very different but equally enjoyable. Larger, still good food, but more space and fewer distractions. A great place to meet for breakfast and escape from the bustling of one of Washington's friendliest circles.

We had the most amazing dinner last evening at 1789. A group of college friends had a chance to gather for the Holy Cross vs Georgetown game and ended the day with a very special dinner. The service was attentive, warm and happily added a seventh seat to our table for six. Our waiter described the offerings beautifully and each part of the meal was even better than explained. This was the perfect spot for such a special dinner and one that will long be remembered.

It is a great restaurant from top to bottom. Wonderful appetizers through main entree through desert. They could update the glasses of wine choices. Also they should slow down the serving between courses by about 5 to 10 minutes.
