A typical food love story. A boy meets a girl while eating pizza. He attends culinary school and open’s a pizza restaurant named after the girl. Thus bringing us to Emily! The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich). Amazing holiday classic! The decor is just amazing- beautifully decorated for the holidays. The food was equally amazing. We had the tomahawk steak special with three included sides. The steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. The lobster Mac and cheese and vegetables were delicious and the presentation was worthy of photos which didn’t do it justice. The service was friendly but efficient. We will be back.

Born and raised in nyc and I can definitely confirm that this restaurant without a doubt is the most authentically romantic place to have a date night in the city. The food was exquisite! Made you want to keep eating even though you’re full. I proposed to my girlfriend here and it was everything I imagined and then some. Through the proposal planning process of how to do it, the staff was almost more excited about it than I was. This restaurant is the personification of a 10 out of 10.

Food was great. Made the mistake to not look further into the restaurant, it is definitely a place intended to go with a group as the portions are a healthy size so I took plenty home (which is a good thing). Great service, everyone is nice. The basement was nice and can foresee myself returning with at least another person.
