Best Historic Restaurants in Westport

This has been our favorite restaurant from when it was in New Canaan and Darien and now in Cannondale. We love the food, the waiters and staff, and the Owners. Angela and Sandy Baldanza are our friends, and we love them dearly. You know that they are doing something right because their staff, brothers Mario and Lauro, have been fixtures here for years. The restaurant was full of people for this year's Valentine's Day. However, the ambience was perfect: not too much noise, wonderful lighting, and lovely details. The food, as usual, was outstanding, as was the service. This restaurant never lets you down. Thanks to Pasquale for his professionalism and kindness in greeting his guests.

The food was just amazing!! My son had the lobster special and I had the beef Wellington. One of the best meals we’ve ever had. And service is so friendly.

Terrific Experience. 5-6 years ago I went to Washington Prime. I had ordered a steak “Black and Blue” and it wasn’t cooked to my liking. It left me questioning its rating as “Best Steakhouse”. This time was entirely different. My wife and I went for Valentines’s Day. It was amazing. Steak Tartare, Duck Breast, NY Strip, Salmon toast. Amazing. The cocktails, amazing. 10/10. Would go again!

Overall we enjoyed and appreciated the music , the creativity of the artwork and seating arrangements . It is definitely a place to consider going for a date night. The servers and owners were extremely welcoming and eager to assist, even with the bottle of wine to consider. The food is average for bar food .
