- CCora PetersonBaltimore / Maryland •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoI was on a solo retreat and wanted to indulge! I ordered the appetizer ham platter. Very tasty. Then I had the prime rib, cooked perfectly! It came with a soup or salad and dessert. I had the salad with pecans and apples. Delicious! I savored every course, but didn’t over indulge in any one thing. Dessert was the “snow eggs”. Honestly, it was absolutely delicious, with cinnamon and meringue over custard and not too sweet. However, mentally, I couldn’t get pass the name and how it was two plops of whipped egg whites over a very thin, runny custard. I’m glad I tried it…would have eaten more if it had not been for the visual snafu. I took all leftovers back to my hotel and had a late night snack since I ate dinner at 5pm. I want to send a special thanks to the anonymous, kind person who surprised me and picked up my check. I’m sure they didn’t know I had ordered a $105 tasting “experience”. It really made my night. I took the retreat to reset myself for holidays after losing 2 close relatives this year. It’s nice to know there are still good people in this world. My husband is going to feel like he missed out (and he did!), but he understood. Now, the downside of the entire experience was the parking. I didn’t see anything on Open table about parking. The lot is on a back street and not clearly marked. It is a walk for someone who needs two knee replacements. I had to walk down a dark street & alley, only to find two handicapped spaces immediately behind the tavern. How would anyone know that? Be sure to know details about parking before you go to avoid missing your reservation. I ended up calling the restaurant phone number which is the main Col. Wmsbg. number. The operator stayed on the phone and helped me to find the lot. The issue is that the restaurant is IN the historic are where no cars are allowed. As a grandparent of a 1 year old. I agree that it’s not the place for babies. You could really ruin someone’s special night.More infoKing's Arms TavernPrice: Expensive• American• Colonial Williamsburg•4.7

Dining room could be a little more elegant to match the foyer.More infoThe Rockefeller Room at The Williamsburg InnPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Colonial Williamsburg•4.4

The rockfish on a bed of risotto, chili peppers and tomatoes was the best fish that I have ever eaten as it was perfect. Chardonnay by the glass complimented the fish very well and the ambiance and service were very nice. Great evening and I visit every year when I come home to Williamsburg — best restaurant in town and the versatile menu is always enlightening - delicious.More infoFat CanaryPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Williamsburg•4.9
- SStanJackson Hole / Wyoming •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoVery quick welcome at the reception desk and quick seating. Directed to a small room table for two shared with one 4 seat table Great service and very prompt. The crab cakes, salad and dessert were all wonderful. As was the fried chicken. The performance by the flutist was an extra bonus to the ambience. The only drawback was sharing the room with a very active talkative 6 year old.More infoChristiana Campbell's TavernPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Colonial Williamsburg•4.5
- CChristineNew York City •60 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoThe service is outstanding and the menu offers choices for everyone, including vegan diners. The menu was also seasonally directed, with many choices that were upgraded comfort foods. Even the burger options add something extra to make them a cut above. Try the potpie, burger or either salmon option.More infoTerrace Room at the Williamsburg InnPrice: Expensive• American• Colonial Williamsburg•4.5
