Best Hot Spot Restaurants in Downtown

We love your restaurant. That said it was not a “wow” last night. The last few times it was an A++. Last night an A at best. The server was good and anticipated many of our needs, but he was so very soft spoken, my husband and our guest has a very difficult time hearing him and the food instructions. And it was not even close to a full house at our 5:15 seating. Several of the pieces of sashimi were also a bit fishy, which has never happened before. We will come back, but we may try the other items instead of our typical omakase .

The Dressing Room restaurant is a quaint, French theater themed restaurant. Very eclectic and old world. The food was very good and well prepared and so was the Mimosa and the Pink Chai latte. 

Superb, as usual. The carrot sformato was an unusual find and quite delicious. The addition of olives to the blood orange and fennel salad hit just the right acid note, Mama’s meatballs were pure beef with a strong dash of anise seed, and the accompanying marinara had been simmering for ages to pick up that deep complexity of flavors and great balance between sweet and slightly acid.

Enjoyed Christmas Eve dinner at Wild Ginger. The restaurant seemed less than fully staffed for the amount of customers present, even though the place was far from full. Despite this the staff were all upbeat, friendly, helpful, and did not rush their interactions with us. They made sure our table had a fantastic holiday meal that will be fondly remembered. The food was amazing! Unique flavors, beautiful presentation, so delicious! The women’s restroom was a total mess, not at all what I would expect from the price point of this establishment. It looked like it had not been checked since opening. Supplies were out or low, paper all over the floor, water pooling on the counters, a notable disaster. Patrons enjoying a multi-course, family style meal will be at the restaurant a long time and are likely to use the facilities. It’s part of the experience and so easy to keep tidy and stocked. Everyone in our party loved our meal and were pleased with our choice to dine at Wild Ginger.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner, our waiter was charming and attentive, everything was great.
