Best Hot Spot Restaurants in Fairfield, New Jersey

Hands down the best steak in the area. We try many steakhouses but when the family says we need a good steak we head to rare, because we know the quality and service are second to none.

Our server was kind, but not as attentive or friendly as in the past on visiting this restaurant. We were never offered a second round of drinks and she only came by once early into our first course round of plates so we didn’t have an opportunity to ask for more drinks.

Intimate, busy but not loud- great wait staff, food and wine! - feels like the favorite neighborhood joint that you want to keep secret! PS get the crispy artichokes!!!

From beginning to end the dining experience was excellent. We were greeted by Robert and led to a private table. Our servers were attentive and described all specials and menu's perfectly. Prices of specials were not mentioned. We didn't have a problem with that, but other diners may. Every selection we chose, and there were 4 adults, were a hit!! The flavor of each dish kept you coming back for more. From appetizers, salad, entree's and desserts we walked out full and happy. Will definitely return to this Gem!!

Carmine's is a New York institution. I was visiting from the UK and it had been 11 years since my last visit. In that time, nothing has changed except this time we were reminded that the portions would be huge! With this in mind, we ordered the meatballs and spaghetti which were delicious, nearly managing to clear the plate! The house Prosecco was excellent. Waiters gathered around tables to sing a raucous "Happy Birthday " to certain clients, adding to the buzz and energy that Carmine's delivers with such style. A must if you're visiting New York and fancy a good (large) Italian.
