The Derby is more than a restaurant. Established in 1922, it has been family owned and operated since 1951. It is a grand museum showcasing some of horse racing’s greatest moments. Diners are invited to take a break from the rush of modern life and travel back to the time of George Woolf, Seabiscuit, and relive the excitement of “The Race of the Century”. We excel in offering the best meat and fresh seafood hand selected by our longtime executive chef that would delight even the most discriminating of taste. Some of the menu highlights include the Bacon Wrapped Filet, Delmonico New York, Prime Rib and Shrimp Scampi. We offer a wide selection of wines by the bottle and by the glass.     We went here for my cousins birthday dinner. I have been hearing good things and have been wanting to try it out. WOW Bestia did not disappoint! We sat at the counter, they were booked up for standard seating and I see why now. Each seat was filled in the restaurant, on a Tuesday night! I would highly recommend Bestia to any LA native or anyone visiting LA. I can’t wait to go back. Service and food was impressive.

    The Derby never disappoints! Bailey gave our table of four outstanding service. The food was delicious, especially the calamari. The fireplaces were roaring and the entire place decorated beautifully. We were enjoying it all so much, we stayed well into mid-afternoon.
