A Family Tradition For Over 90 YearsMrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant first opened in 1934 with Mrs. Knott and her children serving the first customers in their tea room. The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes. Every complete chicken dinner includes handmade biscuits, side salad, choice of cabbage or cherry rhubarb, three pieces of fried chicken, and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. For dessert: your choice of boysenberry pie or boysenberry sherbet. Many other dishes are also available including grilled chicken, salads, and a number of appetizers. A full-service bar, serving signature boysenberry-infused cocktails, is also available.Currently, we are following all government-issued regulations and seating is currently outside only.     Absolutely amazing!!! Period!!! However having to write more thats fine. The steak was delicious exceeded everything. I love different butters to top the steaks like jalapeno butter. The sides were great. The cesar salad was great, the au gratin potatoes great, their mash potatoes is God-tier i look forward using take-out on the holidays going forward. The brussel sprouts were great. The service was great. The clear attentiveness of the team walking around the floor asked if everythings okay including management. Their tone was actually super friendly. So whatevers going on I am very sure theres the founder and investors will be proud to hear how this location is being steered by their captain on the helm.

    We had one of the best experiences at the seller we were hoping for something really fun and they came out 100% the customer service with Shannon was amazing she is by far one of the best waitress we’ve ever had. The food was beyond delicious and my dad has a hard time walking up the stairs so they took their time put us through the kitchen and had the elevator take him up everyone was so accommodating and helpful. We will definitely be back.

    Great experience over all, drinks took a long time to arrive and/or to receive service due to the fact that there is only one bartender for the entire restaurant. Although, it was Valentine’s Day, however, management should take that into consideration. I also reserved my table at 2:30pm and as soon as we sat down I had to order my food because kitchen closes at 2:45pm.

    Went for Sunday Brunch RESERVATIONS RECoMMEDED. There were a lot of people outside waiting to be seated I had a reservation for 2 and was seated right away. The restaurant was VERY crowded and Noisy. There were plenty of stations opened around the restaurant with different selections to choose from. the food was good there were enchiladas, rellenos, soups, salads deserts, and much more to choose from. there was a taco area also. Like I mentioned it was very crowded if you do not like crowds then I would go elsewhere. I think when they closed the Westminster store the people came to the next closest El Torito Cypress. At Westminster they had a courtyard where all the food was displayed at Cypress it was in the entry way in the restaurant in the bar area. There is outside seating available if you want. will I come back Maybe. Remember to make a reservation
