- OTOpenTable DinerChicago / Illinois •1 review4.0Dined 1 day agoWent for my husband’s birthday and when I made the reservation. I advised that we were also bringing our 3 year old, not a problem because they have a kids menu, which was a plus that included crayons and activities on the menu. We were seated in the chandelier room which was beautiful. I had eaten there before and was seated the second level, but this time we were seated in the first floor is beautiful and intimate. To commemorate the birthday there was a birthday card signed by the staff which was a nice touch. My husband ordered the Rio Jockey Club and I had the an Old Fashioned which were good. For food we ordered a filet mignon with garlic sauces, salmon, mashed potatoes , Brussel sprouts, and Mac n cheese for the little one. The food was all great, no complaints. The service was hit and miss. The server would leave for extended periods of time as if we needed that much time to decide on what we wanted. The management however was great, TJ came by multiple times to check on us and even offered to box up our food. We ended the meal with a birthday treat for my husband. Our daughter especially enjoyed. Overall good experience just as my first time, will definitely come back for happy hour. Would suggest carrying some apple juice if you are going to offer juices for kids.More infoBLVD SteakhousePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• West Loop•4.3

- JJoeVIPChicago / Illinois •47 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThe Franklin Room is a fabulous restaurant. I went with a pal in town from Melbourne, Australia. The atmosphere is very cool. The Franklin Room is 1 of those restaurants that flies under the radar. But if you know, you know. Drink options are fabulous. Whether you're drinking wine, cocktails, bourbon, scotch the options are top drawer. We ate the lamb chop appetizer which was cooked to perfection. The chicken roulade was again very well cooked. So much so that my pal finished the dish then told me how good it was. He did not share! I had the Spicy Bourbon Mussels, which as always are my favorite dish on the menu at The Franklin Room. A selection of amazing single malts washed down our meal. I highly recommend going to The Franklin Room. Book a table as the restaurant is small.
