Best Neighbourhood Gem Restaurants in Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino

Our first time, and it won’t be our last!! We moved from Chicago last year, and loved our higher end Italian restaurant (s) - it’s Chicago…so there are lots!! Amari definitely would fit in! The daily specials looked amazing! We started with Caesar’s Salad and Carpaccio. Both were excellent! There were four of us dining. We had : Lasagna, Boar Bolognese, Lobster Ravioli and chicken piccata. All were served beautifully and were sooo tasty!! For dessert we had 3 Tiramisu lol They have an extensive wine menu. We had a blended red and their house Sauvignon Blanc. This is NOT your local Olive Garden or Bucca….expect to pay for a high quality meal. I can’t wait to come back!

we went in for a quick dinner, my wife had the beet salad and it was outstanding, then she had the Jerusalem Artichoke soup for a main course, we have had the soup previously and it did not disappoint in any manner!!! i had the Jerusalem Artichoke soup as well and the Smoked Salmon Tartare,. the Tartare was a disappointment for sure, the salmon was diced very coarsely (big chunks) and many pieces had gristle in them, will not order that dish again. In addition, the "rice chips" were bland and mostly hard to swallow and did not pair well with salmon at all. As always, the service was splendid and friendly like always.

As always…..food was delicious and huge servings. Ambience is charming and service exceptional. O server Mario was wonderful.

HAD THE CRAB LEGS. ORDERED THEM WITH GARLIC BUTTER. THEY WERE VERY GOOD. THE PRICE WAS HIGH, BUT BEING CHRISTMAS, IT WAS WORTH IT. MY HUSBAND HAD THE GRASS FED FILET MIGNON STEAK. IT WAS ALSO VERY GOOD. WE ORDERED 1 BAKED POTATOE, WHICH WAS SO BIG, GLAD WE SHARED IT. ALSO, SHARED THE CHOPPED STEAK SALAD. IT WAS ALSO VERY GOOD. I WISH THE LOBSTER WAS WILD AND THE SHRIMP. WE WON'T BUY ANY FARM RAISED FISH. THAT IS THE ONLY NEGATIVE. THEY NEED TO BUY WILD FISH, SINCE TOO MUCH JUNK IS IN FARM RAISED FISH

Reservation was for Christmas Eve and it was very delightful. They presented a smaller menu but enough variety to easily make choices. We shared their charcuterie board which was excellent. I asked for a particular wine which they didn’t have, but the server was knowledgeable and suggested an equal substitute. For main entree, I had Dover Sole. Nice presentation and although a little lemony, it was still delicious. This is a beautiful restaurant, especially during the day when you can enjoy the view of the lake. Highly recommend!
