In the 1950's our grandfather, Giacomo, came to live the American Dream. He moved from Saviano, Italy to live in Long Island, New York. He met his wife and started a family, opening their first location in Long Island, New York, named Village Pizza. As business flourished, we moved to a larger location and changed the name to Alfieri Brothers’ Pizzeria. Again, we outgrew the size of the restaurant and relocated to a larger side of the center where we have remained since 1991. The following year, Saverio Alfieri decided to head south and expand the family business by opening a location in North Texas. Since then, Saverio and his two sons, Anthony and Giacomo, have managed to create one of Dallas/Ft. Worth’s best kept secrets. It was a mixed bag, we had attention from everyone in the restaurant; the server checked on us, the Manager checked on us, even what appeared to be a chef checked on us, but when we needed a knife or a drink refill it was very slow. The knife took 5 minutes while food was waiting on the table and the drink was slow due to washing dishes, so we cancelled after 10 minutes. Food was fresh and hot, very mild flavor which was probably good for our older crowd, i tend to want more spice. Salsa had no heat, but was tasty.
