LA STREGA TRATTORIA IS LOCATED IN BEAUTIFUL LAS VEGAS, NEVADA.La Strega is Las Vegas’ premiere Italian eatery nestled in the affluent community of Summerlin where James Beard nominated Chef Partner, Gina Marinelli ignites an authentic Italian cultural rejuvenation by inspiring exploration of the traditions of flavorful, fresh and innovative Italian cuisine with her modern, farm-to-table regionally-based dishes. Translating to “witch” in Italian, La Strega’s sophisticated yet playful atmosphere bewitchingly transports guests to Italy immediately upon arrival. Greens, clays, and earth tones make up its color palette, while full moon-shaped bulbs on brass chandeliers illuminate the space. The restaurant’s artistic centerpiece is a one‐of‐a‐kind mural that spans multiple walls throughout the restaurant, telling the story of the witches of Benevento which inspired the genesis of La Strega, a tale best told by the head Strega herself, Chef Gina Marinelli. We invite you into our home!!!

How do you take a classic staple of American dining, the steakhouse, and break down the traditional thinking to create something entirely new and exciting? That was the question that acclaimed chef and restaurateur Sam Marvin (creator of the much-celebrated Los Angeles restaurant Bottega Louie) posed when he decided the time was right to reinvent what has long been the trademarks of the steakhouse genre – masculine vibe, dark rooms, fancy waiters, slabs of oversized beef and overly expensive pricing. The answer became Echo & Rig Butcher and Steakhouse, located at the charming Tivoli Village just off of Summerlin Parkway; 15 minutes from the famed Las Vegas Strip.

Intriguing, interesting, different and a unique and imaginary plate presentation. We saw a U-Tube report on the Owner-Chef and the restaurant itself. We had to try it. We sampled 3 appetizers: Imperial Rolls, Steak Tartare and the Hamachi. All freshly made and tasty. Definitely Asian Fusion with contemporary American. The unique plates are difficult to describe for this traditional diner! Our two Entrees; a Duck Confit Special and the Slow Braised Short Ribs. Both excellent. For a wonderful meal and a very different food style the Black Sheep is perfect.

We really love the food and vibe here. Getting a seat in the main dining room makes the experience here all the better for us so we can easily see the live entertainment. This visit we enjoyed caesar salads, chicken parmesan, lasagna and the special of the night. All of them were excellent. Prices are reasonable.

This is one of the best overall experiences I’ve had at a first time dining at Primal. Rsvp at 830 pm but arrived about 8:00pm, they sat us right then and there. The front staff were very friendly and live music was playing. My waiters name was Derrick and is one of the best servers I’ve ever had. He was supposed to have a side kick to help him with the tables , he was serving about 8 other tables including mine , but the side kick (John) helped all the other tables but mine. Derrick never dropped the ball with any of the appetizer, drinks, dessert, entrées, and refills. Derrick was very very engaging with my table and every table he had, everyone was happy and having a great time. The food was very amazing and tasted so good. The steak was cooked to perfection (med rare) , risotto with lobster / chef kiss , the french fries ( crispy and d lish us) and the cocktails were a lot of fun and yummy. We passed on dessert but It was my Valentine’s day birthday dinner so Derrick dropped off a small macaroon with a candle and a happy birthday made out of chocolate. It capped off the dinner like a charm! Thank you Derrick and everyone at Primal , you made my 53rd birthday dinner one to remember!

I cannot rave about this precious gem of a restaurant enough. The absolute charm, the utter excellence makes this one of my favorite places to dine in Las Vegas. Chef Gina is a master at her craft and each table has the delight of a view of her doing her thing. The mushroom pasta, the meatballs, the waygu carpaccio, the pesto pizza, uh just perfection. The cocktails are also seamlessly in harmony with the menu, simply delicious. Whether you're with friends or on a romantic date (I've experienced both), you're almost guaranteed to have a memorable experience. Thank you La Strega for being so close to where I live too lol, so that I may have that steak any time I need it again, cause I'll be dreaming of that chimichurri. ❤️
