Reservations are open for dinner only, lunch is walk ins only. What’s in the name you ask? We don’t really know, other than the fact that it has a good ring to it. Nothing really about this place makes much sense. Are we a butcher shop or a restaurant? Are we a butcher shop inside of a restaurant? Or a restaurant inside of a butcher shop? In our spare time we like to build fires and cook food over wood, you can hire us to do that. We make all of our own charcuterie in house, and we’re determined to get better at that everyday. How do two concepts operate together in harmony? We don’t really know yet, but we will work at it ‘til it’s seamless. One thing we do know, all of the meat served and sold between these four walls is strictly derived from whole animals butchered in-house, sourced from happy places.

The best food I've had in a long time. They run this place so well, positive staff, clean surfaces no heat lamps. Have tried about half the menu now over 3 visits and nothing has been a let down or even just good it's all been great. Was blown away recently by the meatballs and the parms. Can't forget the tiramisu, it's hard to leave room by end of everything but worth it. During our last visit my fiance and I agreed this is who we want do our wedding food.

Zappi’s is the only place we eat in Niagara. Calzone is a must. The pizza is delicious. And the red sauce would make cardboard taste great. Always a great meal here with great staff.

Our family and I were visiting from Michigan, USA and thought we would try this restaurant. What an amazing experience we had! From the moment we entered the black curtained restaurant we knew we were going to have an amazing time. The gentleman who ushered into the bar area while we waited for our table to be ready (we were the second seating) was lovely. He sat us at the bar and we ordered our drinks from the barman who with genuine interest all about the local wines around Niagara-On-The-Lake. So much so, that when we ordered our bottle of wine for dinner, he came over after our lovely waitress told him our orders, to confirm that the bottle of Syrah would be a perfect pairing. The beef tartare, scallops, seared pork were incredible! Desserts were no less than perfect. For anyone who wants a memorable experience in a restaurant with the bar, wait staff and chefs thoroughly committed to making your dinner perfect, I highly suggest they try Treadwell Cuisine.
