- GgeorgeVIPPhiladelphia County •57 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe continually say that we believe Blackfish is the best restaurant outside of center city and can go head to head with most any. The lady had the oysters - the lemon 'foam' on top, oysters in the shell but 'free' so that you can just slide them in right from the shell leaving the foam in tact, were fresh and delightful. She followed that with the wild mushroom ravioli. Toasted home panko breadcrumbs and delightful sauce, all rich with mushroom flavor was also wonderful. I had the scallop more or less ceviche-type appetizer with thin scallop and radish slices in a marvelous orange and citrus sauce, finely diced onion and cucumber and fresh herbs - it was the best appetizer I have had there and I love the smoke salmon and quail egg and the brussels sprout salad (don't laugh until you have one - they too are delicious). I had the duck breast. Butternut squash, some home-made cranberry relish, another puree of something that was rich and tasty along with a brown a-jus gravy. It was really good. I could only eat half of it - quite large, but wonderful flavors. Blackfish continues to be at the top of our favorites list! Not to be missed. - KKerriPhiladelphia County •10 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoSteak 48 in Philadelphia delivers a truly exceptional dining experience, blending impeccable food with outstanding service. Appetizers: We started with the Meatball, which was tender and flavorful. The sauce was a standout, earning it a solid 4/5 rating. However, the real star of the appetizers was the Oysters, particularly the Glacier Point variety. Fresh, briny, and perfectly complemented by a punchy horseradish, they were unforgettable—a full 5/5. Entrees: The Bone-In Filet was cooked to perfection, with a rich, juicy flavor that highlighted the quality of the cut. The Butcher’s Cut Ribeye was equally impressive—well-seasoned, tender, and packed with flavor. Steak lovers will not be disappointed here. Service: Shannon was an absolute delight. Her incredible energy, deep knowledge of the menu, and attentive service elevated the entire meal. She’s a true asset to the restaurant and made our anniversary unforgettable. Steak 48 Philly is a must-visit for anyone craving a high-end steakhouse experience. Between the fantastic food and stellar service, it’s a place we have and will continue to return to.More infoSteak 48 - PhiladelphiaPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Rittenhouse Square•4.8
- CCourtneyNew York City •2 reviews4.0Dined on 19 Dec 2024Food was great, our waiter was attentive and we were not rushed. We unknowingly ordered guacamole that was $33 and we were only two people so that was a bit of a sticker shock - and unnecessary because it was way too much. Other than this, good experience.More infoRosa Mexicano ArdmorePrice: Moderate• Mexican• Ardmore•4.1
