Best Restaurants that are Worth The Drive in Winthrop Harbor

It was a great experience, great customer service and food was great!

We visited Saranello’s with a plan of having our rehearsal dinner at their restaurant and getting a feel for the place. Not only was Mary (the Events manager) a delight, she answered all of our questions and gave us pointers for the event. Our dinner afterwards at the restaurant was DELICIOUS, and our server Joann was a firecracker in the best way. Not only does the restaurant have great food and a welcoming atmosphere, you really get the sense that the team likes one another and have a nice time while still making the customers feel like VIPs. 10/10 would recommend for dinner and or your private event needs, these guys are pros. :)

Family birthday celebration dinner, really enjoyed our experience. Cocktails, our meals, service were all on point. Definitely will be back. Great buzz in the dining room - will be back without the kids to dine at the bar in the future for sure.

With so few fund dining restaurants opening at lunch now, it was a delight to find Mir a Mar still serving lunch. The food was excellent and the service warm and attentive. The ambience reminded me of so many small restaurants in France. You won’t be disappointed by choosing Miramar and enjoying an imaginary trip to France if even just for an hour or two. The diver sole and crème brûlée were fantastic.
