- NNolaBaltimore / Maryland •4 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe were there as party of 6 to celebrate 2 birthdays - a soon-to-be 26 year old and a soon-to-be 74 year old. We had the same group at about this same time for the same celebration a few years ago so the repeat was great fun. Our waiter Eduardo was excellent - giving us good recommendations and hitting just the right tempo for checking in. The rest of the staff were great too. Quietly slipping in to whisk away dishes, fill water glasses, etc. The food, as always, was delicious and fun to experiment with a few dishes. Ending the meal with 2 fabulous desserts (with candles) for the birthday folks plus coffees and expresso shots was perfect.More infoJaleo - DCPrice: Expensive• Spanish• Penn Quarter•4.7

- CClaudiaWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoHere’s your review with the chef’s tasting menu details: — I’m still on a high from this meal—absolutely incredible! We did the chef’s tasting menu, which took us on a journey through 10 different dishes, each one more amazing than the last. As a Peruvian, I can confidently say this place nails the flavors while elevating them in the best way. The lomo saltado was perfection, the ají de gallina was rich and comforting, the arroz chaufa had that perfect smoky wok flavor, and the causa was beautifully balanced and fresh. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. And let’s talk about the pisco cocktails—perfectly crafted, smooth, and dangerously good. The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food. The ambience? Just as amazing. Warm, inviting, and the perfect backdrop for such a special meal. And for the sheer quality and variety of food we got, the value was unreal. I left so happy, so full, and already dreaming about my next visit. If you love Peruvian food (or just insanely good food in general), you need to eat here!More infoChina ChilcanoPrice: Expensive• Peruvian• Penn Quarter•4.7

- JJenniferBaltimore / Maryland •3 reviews5.0Dined on 21 Dec 2024A small group of us went to Thunder Burger & Bar after a show at the Kennedy Center. You can park in the Colonial Parking lot (2 minute walk to the restaurant). The service was attentive and it was cozy inside with a fire in the fireplace. We got the nacho appetizer and then we all got different burgers. Everyone had good things to say about their meals including me who got the Impossible Burger (plant-based) - so good! Fries were good too. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!More infoThunder Burger & BarPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Georgetown•4.3
