An exceptionally stylish supper club, civilized speakeasy, a sophisticated saloon. Each of these "personae" is housed in a soaring two-story interior distinguished by a gently curving mahogany bar, fluted columns with ornate capitals, stunning original art, plush banquettes, cozy booths, starched linens, glittering glasses, and polished flatware. Overall, the ambiance is pure 1930's and 1940's - tasteful art moderne reminiscent of the glory days of Cunard and French Line ships. Fashionable and glamorous are the hallmarks. Dining today at Choquette's was just like being in a Paris cafe. OO LA LA! It's a chilly SF Day so we opted for the French Onion Soup - OMG deeelicous. Paid for bread and great butter and shared a lovely butter lettuce salad Ala French vinaigrette. All wonderful BUT they could have put a bit more dressing on the great fresh butter lettuce leaves and I could have requested more but didn't. All in all - we'll return soon.

What a wonderful restaurant, live music with a singer, and a table for 5 just close enough. Several stations, as it was Thanksgiving. Salads, pastas, great veggies and excellent turkey, roast beef and porchetta. Delicious desserts. And wonderful wines, all included. Excellent and attentive service from all staff, a great start to the Holidays. Enjoy!

As usual, “ checked all of the boxes” Bix is the consummate special evening dinner out - up scale atmosphere and ambience, classic bar, epicurean delight,attentive service, live, cultural music … a great experience.
