Johnny’s Downtown, opened in 1993, is similar to the original Johnny’s Bar on Fulton Road, featuring pasta, veal and fish. The setting, a refurbished 1860’s Warehouse District building, formerly a general store, is the drinking and dining spot of locals and business people alike. Joseph Fall, the executive chef, oversees the food operations and is responsible for our crafting our signature dishes and creating daily specials. We had one of the best fine dining experiences at Pier W. My husband is on a very restrictive diet and I eat extremely clean. Our server, Samantha, was absolutely outstanding!!! Once we told her about our dietary needs/wishes, she immediately suggested we customize our dishes. We did and the chef did an awesome job! Samantha is as pleasant as she is knowledgeable. The atmosphere is amazing and everyone we came in contact with seemed happy to be there! Thank you for the experience!!! Can’t wait to return!

The food was awesome, the best calamari me and my wife ever had, our dinner was fabulous, the rigatoni was the best and my wife loved her ravioli and the lemon cheese cake was to die for.

The cuisine was fantastic.... very busy for Christmas dinner. Unfortunately, but not unexpected service was slow because of staff shortage. My daughter is a sous chef and actually applied here. Needless to say, she didn't even get an interview. They needed help this day for sure
