We have gone for the Seven Fishes buffet on Christmas Eve for three years straight and this year was even better. They just keep improving year by year and they were already great to begin with. The staff is top notch, the restaurant itself is very nice. It’s situated in a “restaurant row” and the parking is easy to navigate. As far as the food, it’s incredible!! It’s ok if you don’t like fish, that’s OK. They have plenty of options. It’s all superb. They cherry on top is their staff. Everyone is super nice and polite. The gentlemen working the carving station recognized that one of our party had mobility issues and made sure to bring her the salmon as soon as it was brought out. He wasn’t even a server and he brought it to the table!! It was indicative of the level of service offered. I can say enough great things about this place. We have eaten there multiple times over the years and aver meal has been terrific!! Looking forward to the next time. Thank you for reading this and try the Brickside, you won’t be sorry!More infoBrickside GrillePrice: Moderate• Seafood• Exton•4.7
- MMichaelPhiladelphia County •10 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWow! This was an awesome experience! As a fan of the Rocky film series, I knew about this place from the Rocky Balboa and Creed films. It is so much more than that, though. As the founder was a major player in early 20th century opera recordings, The Victor Cafe has an opera theme permeating its soul. The walls are adorned with photos of the opera greats, opera music plays softly in the background, and, most importantly, the waitstaff are all classically-trained opera performers. Every half hour or so, they gather everyone’s attention to perform a selection from a popular opera, complete with a synopsis of the story they’re about to tell through their performance. Every performer was wonderful and this made for a unique, joyful and memorable experience for my family. I grew up on Italian cuisine, and this was among the best I’ve had in a long time. We shared the Calamari Fritti, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that we could have substituted Smelts for the calamari. This was a staple of our Christmas Eve dinners when I was young. My Veal Saltimbocca was perfect, as was my Daughter’s Prince Igor (penne with a vodka blush, salmon, tomato, and Asparagus). We enjoyed our cannolis while watching our last performance of the evening. Breathtaking! Special shout out to our server, Brenna, who took our dessert order mere seconds after completing her duet! Remarkable! I can’t say enough about The Victor Cafe; if you’re looking for a classic South Philly Italian Restaurant, paired with one of the most wonderful and unique experiences you’ll find today, then this is the place for you.More infoThe Victor Cafe - PhiladelphiaPrice: Moderate• Italian• South Philly•4.9

- PPatrickPhiladelphia County •1 review5.0Dined on 18 Dec 2024After a few years not dining at The Log Cabin, we returned for our 48th anniversary. The booth room was where we last celebrated so we returned there. There are 3 booths and two tables - all were occupied by couples celebrating their anniversaries. My wife had Pasta Primavira, I had the Salmon Oscar. Both were outstanding. Being non- drinkers I can not comment regarding the libations and the server was excellent as we're all the staff, efficient and friendly. As we finished with coffee, a local roast, Whiff coffee roaster which was very good, the owner of the restaurant made his way around the dining rooms and spoke with each couple. Not just in passing but had actual conversations at each stop, ending with an invitation to explore the facility and look around. Very impressive. The prices are not for the faint hearted but in keeping with a fine dining experience. The decor has been redone and refreshed from the last time we were here; it seems brighter and yet intimate at the same time. We will renew our anniversary tradition at the Log Cabin going forward and more than likely bring family and friends for those special dinner celebrations ahead.More infoThe Log CabinPrice: Very Expensive• American• Leola•4.8
