It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation.     I had the black cod and it was absolutely amazing 👍 buttery and flavorful, excellent! My daughter had the steak and fries and enjoyed them but she said they were very salty. The oysters we had were small but fresh and delicious. That said, I didn't like being told to go online to see the menu. Can't give each of us a printed menu? I thought that was rude. There were four of us and they never gave us 4 menus, so we had to share them.

    Great place for intimate dinner or business dinner. Wait staff are attentive without being rude. Food was good. We started with lobster tempura and crab soup, entrees were crab cakes and scallops with shrimp pasta, ended with apple tarts. Everything was delicious

    Had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the service was great. We sat at the counter and were able to watch the chef make everything. Since we went on a Monday, wine was market price, so we enjoyed the salmon special and pork chop with a bottle of wine. Too bad they're closing the restaurant portion, because we would definitely go back. Looking forward to taking some cooking classes there though!
