Best Open Kitchen Restaurants in Kensington

First time dining at Mercato and it was amazing, the food was so good and we had a wonderful time. The service was excellent and we never felt rushed and it was just a great experience, we will be back.

Ten Foot Henry is my favourite restaurant in Calgary and has been consistently for years!! My favourite dish of the night was the new “marinated beets” with mama ghanoush, salted ricotta (I omitted due to dairy allergy) & cured zucchini - A true chefs kiss/honourable mention to this extraordinary explosion of flavours, vivid colours and complimentary textures which paired superb with my delightful blueberry roiboos tea! Valentines’s day was the first time and a while since my wife and planned a dinner or any type of outing in general. With two kids, a three year old and a six month old, free time is a rarity, dare I say a luxury. We mustered our courage and committed to going out in the frigid weather. Seeing the little one is currently breastfeeding, my wife wanted her to stay with us in any of our future outings. After making dinner plans and babysitting with my family for our son, we found ourselves running fashionably late. We proceeded to make our way there nonetheless hoping that there would be some clemency on our behalf. Sure enough, even after arriving an hour late, the two young ladies a the front inquired as to what can be done. The manager for the evening came and moved some things around and managed our expectations saying that we would be moving to a a table which has an appointment in an hour and 15 mins which was greatly appreciated! From the food to the customer service, the standard was to our expectation. The crew on service for the evening ran a tight ship and made the evening look flawless. The manager, what can I say, she had nerves of Steele coordinating such a busy evening. We will definitely come back, this time alone, to fully appreciate such an establishment! Well done to all
