We had the pleasure of dining at Gatto Matto, and it was nothing short of incredible! We ordered the Chef’s Plate, a delightful surf-and-turf creation featuring perfectly cooked steak, succulent lobster, and tender lamb chops. The plate was accompanied by broccolini, flavorful mushrooms, and crispy Parmesan fries—all bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The Caesar salad was another highlight—fresh, crisp, and dressed to perfection. As for the cocktails, they were absolutely delicious and expertly crafted, adding the perfect touch to our meal. The service was outstanding—our waitress was attentive, knowledgeable, and gave excellent recommendations. Despite the restaurant being busy, the service was impressively fast and efficient. To top it all off, the desserts were a showstopper. The tiramisu was heavenly, the apple dessert was divine, and the mini cannolis were the perfect sweet finish. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the exceptional food to the impeccable service, Gatto Matto truly delivered on every level. A great place to have lunch in the centre of Montreal. Delicious food, good service and nice ambiance.

The dishes are beautiful to the eye, the taste is a hit or miss. Service on that night was rushed. We were ignored a lot, it was busy and we were sitting in a corner.

The grilled octopus was cooked to perfection – tender, smoky, and bursting with flavor. The grilled lamb chops, however, stole the show! Cooked to a precise medium-rare, the lamb was incredibly tender and juicy, with a rich, gamey flavor that paired exquisitely with the accompanying herbs and spices. Throughout our meal, the service was impeccable – attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making for a truly unforgettable dining experience.
