Heralded as a "meat speakeasy" by Food & Wine Magazine, chi SPACCA has come to represent the quintessential new Italian dining experience, where accompaniments like the Foccacia di Recco, warm salted Medjool dates, and Culatello & Puglia burrata are just sideshows for the rest of Chef Armen Ayvazyan's wood-fired menu which features a 42-ounce Tomahawk pork chop, a 36-ounce dry-aged bone-in New York Costata alla Fiorentina, and a 50-ounce dry-aged porterhouse Bistecca Fiorentina.Enchanted by the artistry of Italian salumi culture, we built the first “dry cure” program in Los Angeles so that we could experiment and perfect Italian charcuterie techniques in house.

Reservations are recommended but we make every effort to accommodate walk-ins when possible. Angelini is our favourite go-to Italian restaurant in LA. A great neighbourhood place for us living in West Hollywood Angelini is a reliable, constant good choice for great Italian food. The service is super friendly and impeccable and whether sitting outdoors or indoors ( there is a new quiet, roomy area) it is always a terrific place to bring friends and family.

Excellent but too expensive. There are other great steaks available in town for half as much per person. Bread shouldn’t be $18 for 1/4 loaf of sourdough.

Spectacular, as always. This time, for the most inventive and unique brunch in the city. The cardamom pancake was a standout. The wood-fired, za’atar spiced, Jerusalem bagels were devoured. The moroccan cigars and the burger was excellent. It’s always a pleasure to be taken away, at Carmel.

We had a 5:45pm reservation and we were running so late! When my husband called, the gentleman on the phone was so kind and accommodating. When we finally arrived he gave us the option to wait for a table but knew we had to make the 8pm Wicked show at the Pantages. He had saved 3 seats at the bar for us and we were able to get seated right away. Food came out super fast, everything we ordered was delicious! They even made the Witches Brew cocktail for me and my niece non-alcoholic! We ordered the spicy vodka rigatoni, meatballs and pepperoni pizza. Overall. great experience!
