Best Restaurants with a Wood Oven in Yonge and Lawrence

Ate at La Pizza and La Pasta on Bloor St at lunchtime. Very busy. Food and service were excellent. I would have appreciated more signs to direct us in and out, however the staff were great at helping us seniors find our way around.

Every dish is crafted with the freshest ingredients and bursting with authentic flavors. The homemade pasta is a true highlight—perfectly cooked and paired with rich, flavorful sauces. The pizza was another standout, with a thin, crispy crust and delicious toppings that transported me straight to Italy. The wine selection is extensive. For dessert, the tiramisu was heavenly—light, creamy, and the perfect end to an unforgettable meal. Highly recommended!

Food is delicious and staff is very friendly and attentive

We came back to Good Son because our first time there was amazing and it’s safe to say the second time is just as incredible—maybe even better! We had the short ribs and the spicy rosé rigatoni this time, along with the steak tartare, the grilled shrimp lettuce cups and the tuna carpaccio and all of them were out of this world. The flavors were rich, bold, and just downright delicious!! The service, as always, was impeccable. Josh took such great care of us, and Jo, the manager, as always made sure everything was perfect, she is the sweetest and most attentive manager I have met! It’s clear this team genuinely cares about creating a great experience. Oh, and the drinks? Absolutely divine—seriously, some of the best cocktails around. Good Son has become a favorite, and we can’t wait to come back again soon!
