Callie represents Chef Travis Swikard's debut solo project after spending a decade working alongside the esteemed Chef Daniel Boulud in New York City. The restaurant’s name, "Callie," comes from the Greek word "kallos," meaning "the most beautiful," and embodies its blend of Mediterranean cuisine with local ingredients and terroir, from sea to land from San Diego, Swikard's hometown.     We haven't been here in over a year, but it won't be long before we'll be back. The food was a wow which rarely happens in my dining experience. We like to sample a lot of different items, so we spent a lot of time on the "Bites" part of the menu, and it was all fantastic. Each item we had was very well crafted and well executed to deliver some extraordinary flavor combinations. The Oysters, Tostados, Handrolls, and Steak tartar were all highlights and not what you would normally expect for these types of dishes. the Dover Sole was very enjoyable, but it was a special so won't always be there. Not a huge wine list but well covered and you could get many nice wines by the glass that are normally reserved for by the bottle lists. I highly recommend going, we will go back very soon.

    Great meal as always! Love the food here and will certainly be back. I had the pork chop and risotto special which was fantastic. Others in our group also loved their choices. We brought a bottle of wine and the corkage fee was $25. It was a bit on the loud side for a table of 8 to hear each other, but in a way that's part of the experience.

    Mothership is an exceptionally unique dining experience, featuring creative vegetarian dishes and delightful cocktails. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to elevate a date night, or impress the friend group. Please note, the meal can feel rushed at times as they only seat for 1.5-2 hours at a time as the place is incredibly busy.

    We had a lovely new years brunch (though I do wish they actually served brunch fare). Everything was very delicious! The service, while very friendly and accommodating, got a little slow toward the end as it got busier, which is understandable. It would’ve been okay except we were in a booth that was one of two they have for parties of six but maybe six short, slim people? Pretty uncomfortable, especially in that corner spot, I spent the whole meal with my arms up over the back of the booth. I’m chubby but the rest of my party were regular sized men and one slim woman and we all felt squashed. But otherwise, a beautiful meal on a lovely day.
