"Hands down the best food you'll find on San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf" proclaimed Sunset Magazine. An extensive renovation has revitalized the Franciscan Crab Restaurant, a Fisherman's Wharf institution since 1957. White tiled walls, beautiful marble bar and twenty foot windows overlook the bay and Alcatraz. Terraced dining affords views from every table: hand blown glass shades and chandeliers dazzle, black and white photos of celebrity patrons adorn the stairs and walls.

    Great service and food ! Didn’t have to wait to be seating. The waiter was very good service. Only thing a little surprising on website says all week it closes at 8pm. Which is a little early I thought. But they let us until after closing time. You won’t be disappointed, great views too!

    Seated promptly, server (Esa) was excellent; the perfect level of attentive without hovering. Her recommendations were spot on. We enjoyed a table at the window, but as the restaurant has tiered level seating I would think all diners would have a decent view. Food was served hot and was absolutely delicious.

    Un clásico de la ciudad con vistas a la Bahía y a los muelles. La comida en general es muy buena. El servicio es bueno aunque por la hora había poco personal pero todo llegó a tiempo y en forma. Definitivamente un lugar para conocer.

    Crab was incredible, food in general was great, service was lacking, and we felt ignored and as if we bothered our waiter, which would be ok if it was busy but it was NOT, so to be ignored is not acceptable

    Great location to celebrate a birthday! Location and view was wonderful, food and service were great as well. Will be visiting the Franciscan Crab Restaurant again.

    We had a great time at the Franciscan! The food was reasonably priced (for the area) and very flavorful. The service was outstanding - friendly but professional. Our server, Yuri, was the best!! He made the entire experience so enjoyable.

    This place has the Best Roasted Crab I have ever had. It was so good I am looking for the recipe. Services were perfect and the few is a million dollars .

    The service was great. The ambiance was great. The views were great. The food was awful and overpriced. The so called crab melt was three small pieces of bread not toasted, not melted, with a meager serving of crab. So disappointing! So expensive for what was served.
