   Tried something different and wasn’t impressed. It was ok but just ok. Noise was intense but it was Presidents Day so that is to be expected

   OMG!! We were in Phoenix from New Orleans for an awesome Best Practices Ministry conference at Christ Lutheran Church. We were looking for something to do on Sunday night, 2/16/2025, and found a string quarter tribute to Queen at the Phoenix Zoo. So we looked for a restaurant close to the Zoo since we would have to LYFT from our hotel for any activities. The concert was for 9pm and Gertrude's last reservation was for 7:30pm, so we went for it. So we decided to get a few appetizers, Elote Fritters, Fried Cauliflower & Shishito and an appetizer that included blue cheese. We had 4 of us and we loved every bit of it and it was filling. But we wanted to try a desert and the donut holes with the various sauces was awesome! Check this place out! If we are back in Phoenix we will be back.

   Love Gertrude’s!! I have been to both the restaurant and botanical gardens several times. I was in Phoenix with a group of friends celebrating a birthday and we came here and everyone loved it. The food is so fresh and flavorful with a variety of options. We shared the cauliflower and shishito peppers, Korean corn cheese, elote fritters for appetizers which were all so tasty. I had the rice noodles for dinner and added shrimp that our server, Greg, recommended. A couple others also had that, someone had the curry rice bowl, tamales and soup and everyone loved their choices. Afterwards we enjoyed a walk around the gardens and enjoyed the current Night Bloom exhibit.

   Great place to have dinner, beautiful atmosphere pretty white and peaceful. Excellent food and a bonus is just to be out in the botanical gardens.

   Was good food. Nice vegan options. Drinks were very tasty as was dessert. The botanical gardens were great too.

   Loved that we finally came here to eat food drinks & the food was super-delicious, and the service from Lillian was delightful. Had the cauliflower and shishito appetizer - so wonderful; full of flavor. Had the lamb enchiladas-wow! Layers of flavor! Also the Sonoran eggs Benedict. Everything is worth the wait. ( make a reservation on Open Table - so easy!)

   Bright and airy room, fairly noisy but not bad. Food was good — creative, tasty and appropriately ho. No refills on pricy berry lemonade.

   I have been a patron of Gertrude's for many years and whenever I have guests visiting from out of state I always like to introduce them to the Sonoran Desert by dining at Gertrude's. This time I brought my cousin and her boyfriend. They had never been to Arizona and were not use to fine dining. However, our server Andrew made them feel very comfortable. and did a very good job explaining the menu to them. As for food, we started with the fritters which are always good. Then for the entrees, her boyfriend and I both had the boar which was excellent and my cousin had the steak and taters and she also said it was excellent. We finished the dinner with the donuts which once again are always very good. It was truly a night to remember for both me and my guests.

    Foods was exceptional, the berry basil lemonade is excellent and the service was spot on had a wonderful time.
