Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse has been a Chicago icon since partners Hugo Ralli and Steve Lombardo opened its doors in May 1989. Gibson's is the place to go for a special occasion when you want to indulge yourself without thinking of the price. I ordered the lobster tail which was sublime, probably the best I've ever had. Everyone else enjoyed their main dishes and we all scarfed down the appetizers.

Went for lunch on a Sunday, not very crowded so noise level was very low. Our Server Eddie was fantastic. Took his time to answer any question we had about the menu and offered many good suggestions. Really made us feel like family vs a customer. Good was great, speed of service was perfect and we were not rushed.

Overall a good experience and meal. Professional staff and high energy. Little loud for my taking. Took a little long to order, certainly. Not rushed though. Not crazy about the table for two shoved up against a wall in a manner where you feel crowded and in the way. Otherwise food was superb and staff polite. Pricey but knew that coming to this upscale restaurant. Would go again.
