   tonight was our second visit to the restaurant in two weeks and I was with different parties each time. Everybody loved the food and service was great! We will definitely be back and check out other locations as well as the Wake Forest location.

   I’m always very happy with the quality and taste of the food. I also think they make the best margaritas in town. The service is great and vibe is happy.

   Let''s start with the good news...because there''s lots to like about Gonza. This is "elevated" Mexican-Colombian food, made to perfection and presented with flair. Our server, Destiny, was upbeat and very helpful in her recommendations. The ambience was engaging and attractive; wall decorations lent an air of authenticity to the "vibe." The only thing I didn''t especially appreciate was that Gonza automatically adds a 20% tip (I''m assuming for parties above a certain size). It didn''t affect the tip Destiny would have received, but I didn''t especially like the freedom to determine my tip taken away from me. Had our experience not been so good, it would have left a bad taste in our mouths.

   Impromptu date night. Food was wonderful, drinks were good. We had an 8:00 reservation, without realizing the restaurant closed at 830. We did think it was odd it wasn’t as packed as it has been in the past, but fine by us. Consistently good

   I’m guessing they’re know for their drinks, because it can’t be the food or prices. The salsa and guacamole were decent, but the cilantro rice, tacos, and burrito completely lacked flavor. The ceviche was the WORST I’ve ever had! It consisted of chewy, overcooked shrimp drenched in a thick, slimy mango sauce - like a cross between melted mango sorbet and salad dressing. For 2 children and 2 adults (no alcohol), the meal came to over $90. That’s after the took off the ceviche. The staff was probably the best part of the experience. For my daughter’s birthday, they enthusiastically rang a cowbell as they brought her ice cream. Interestingly, the ice cream was served in a paper Dixie cup like the spit cups at the dentist’s office. Our waitress also hunted us down at the neighboring ice cream shop to return something I left on the table.

   The food is always reasonable, albeit highly priced. The big problem I have is how dark it is within the restaurant. I could barely see my wife across the table from me. I actually had to use the flashlight on my phone as it was so dark. I understand it was a Friday night, and could be considered date night. But it should not be that dark at 6 o’clock in the evening in that restaurant.

    Love everything about this place but it gets really loud and hard to hear people talking at your table.
