At Gourmet Italia, experience Italy without ever leaving Temecula. Restauranteur, Alessandro (Alex) Prestifilippo moved to the states from Sicily in 1996. He takes much pride in our attentive, friendly staff, knowing they’ll provide the exceptional “Sicilian” experience Alex prides himself in. The food was excellent and staff were very attentive. We were never rushed and had an enjoyable evening. My only critique is that the wooden chairs aren’t comfortable.

The food at Gourmet Italia was outstanding as usual. We have been eating here since 2009 and the food was as good then as it was back then. Best Italian food in Temecula, by far!

I wish they had the squid ink pasta with scallops that I always get whenever I’m in town. The past couple of times they made it for me even if it wasn’t on the menu. The spaghetti with meatballs was not appetizing at all. The server was so quick to brush us off. I’ve had a better dining experience in the past.

We walked in and were greeted so rudely by the host. He was completely put out by the fact that we had an infant accompanying us at our table, he insisted the we were a table for four rather than a table for three. Mind you, the infant did not need a high chair and was a lap baby. He huffed and said “sit on the couch, I have to redo your table” along with the world’s biggest eye roll. The restaurant had two other occupied tables and was not at all busy . Needless, to say - we decided not to dine here. We informed him that he was rude and we would not be staying. The world shouldn’t have to deal with rudeness - especially when we are paying for a nice birthday dinner.

Food is always excellent with great flavor. We were late for our reservation and gourmet Italia was more than willing to accommodate us. That was very nice of them. We were sat rather quickly but had to wait a little bit for a waiter to come over and address us. That would really be my only criticism. Ambiance is good and service is friendly.

This Italian restaurant is extraordinary! I ordered the scallops and pasta, and it was fantastic. I also ordered a glass of red wine, and it was so good that I purchased a bottle to go.

Little pricy but I guess every thing is too expensive now but the food was great and the owner came to every one’s table which was nice I like that
