   I recently dined at Grunauer and had a wonderful experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. I started with the lobster bisque, which was rich, creamy, and full of deep seafood flavors. It had a smooth texture with just the right balance of seasoning. Next, I tried the sweet potato soup, which was a pleasant surprise—velvety, slightly sweet, and well-spiced, making it a comforting and flavorful choice. For the main course, I had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked—moist on the inside with a beautifully crisp exterior. The seasoning complemented the natural flavor of the fish without overpowering it. The dish was well-plated and paired nicely with the sides. Overall, the service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff. Grunauer truly delivers on quality and flavor, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refined yet hearty dining experience in Kansas City. I’ll definitely be returning!

   Overall, very good. Will go again. On the need for improvement, the roux on the lobster bisque was browned more than I like and the lobster was langostino. Also the entre side dish, fried potatoes, was served barely warm. But it tasted good.

   Food was good but not very warm. 2 of the 4 meals were great temperature wise. The other 2 were luke warm at best. Not quite as good as our previous visits.

   One of the best restaurants in KC. The food is always delicious, great imported beer selection on draft and the service is always courteous, not fake, and timely.

    My husband and I visited this beautiful restaurant today, in celebration of our 19th wedding anniversary. Justin, our server, and the kitchen crew were amazing!!! I have food allergies, and they were so careful and patient with me!!! My husband and I had such a nice time and made some wonderful memories. Thank you to everyone who took such great care of us!!!
