We hope our dress policy is comfortable for all. Coats & ties are not required. Slacks, dress jeans, & dress shorts are great. We require that gentlemen wear a collared shirt. T-shirts, cut off shorts, & athletic wear, including baseball caps, are not permitted. We ask gentlemen to remove their hats in the Dining Room.

    The " complimentary " parking in a commercial garage was a disaster . Our vehicle was booted and we were charged $135 to release the boot. The website mentions a picture of the license plate and that it should be presented to the hostess "right when you arrive ". The staff did not inquire about parking or inform us that we had to settle the parking upon arrival at the restaurant or or vehicle would booted within 15 minutes . Neither the restaurant nor the parking garage had any staff to fix the problem . The expectation of such a fine dining establishment is that these details are addressed and not disclaimed as they n the website .

    Great experience at GW Fins this evening. My party enjoyed the lobster bisque, tuna tacos, red snapper, and scallop carbonara. The bisque and carbonara were the stand outs (along with the biscuits, of course). The restaurant had great holiday decorations. The restaurant was definitely bustling but still was quiet enough to comfortably hold a conversation. Shout out to Oliver to handling the busy evening like a pro!

    Best meal we have had since being in NOLA! These people cooked our fish to perfection, light, flaky and moist. We had the sheepshead parmesan fish entree which was absolutely delicious and their biscuits will melt in your mouth. We also had halibut with scallops and the lobster dumplings, which were good but not to compare with the previous. The chocolate mouse dessert was great as well and is huge (we shared). We tried earlier in the week to walk in but were unable to be served so reservations are definitely needed. Service was good despite being extremely busy. Try this place out, I don’t think you will be disappointed with your meal.

    Food and service were exceptional. We had the ceviche’ and lobster ravioli appetizers then ordered Hallibut with scallops and shrimp risotto — the signature dish — and the Parmesan-crusted sheepshead with lemon butter and browned capers served either asparagus as our main courses. Everything was perfectly prepared! We ordered 3 desserts to top it all off: the salty malty ice cream pie, the white chocolate bread pudding and the chocolate mouse in a dark chocolate dome with raspberry gelee’. Perfect evening. Except for learning at the end of the night that our parking would not be validated. We were not told to bring the parking ticket to the front desk at the beginning of the night. If you go to GW Finn’s and expect to get parking validated, do not pay the garage when you park (despite the fact that all of the signs in the garage and the boots on cars are somewhat threatening in there). Instead, take your unpaid parking garage ticket directly to the front desk at the restaurant for validation with a picture of your license plate. This was the only sour note of our evening. Otherwise, it was perfect!

    One of the top 5 dining experiences we've had. For comparison, we've had meals at 3 star Michelin restaurants in London, Spain, and France. Our meal was superb, and the ambience, with tables comfortably separated, unlike many expensive restaurants made this a wonderful experience.

    All the staff were wonderful. Mistakenly made reservations for today, unknowingly arrived to discover that I didn’t have a reservation. The staff up front were so accommodating. This has been my 3rd attempt to visit😅 It was outstanding throughout our dining experience. Thank y’all Happy Noel!
