   The steak special (filet) was tough, overcooked, and way over seasoned. Service was spotty and the noise level was very high. I had read about the history of this restaurant but they are clearly resting on their past laurels. I wish we’d found a more modern restaurant and menu.

   Ambiance is good. Our service staff was not eagerly accommodating on side food exchanges as what we requested, and when the meal was served to his suggestion, the side dish was not what we liked. The pretzel dessert was not good - skip it. The duck entree and seafood stew entrees were good. Overall, I doubt we would go back but did enjoy the non traditional preparation of the dishes.

   We celebrated a family Birthday and Mother’s Day and the staff took great care of us. All of our entrees were delicious and the chocolate carmel tarts were amazing.

   Everything was super salty. Not a preference issue, it was as if two people in the kitchen were salting dishes without knowing it. I sent my salmon back and they sent a new one that had no seasoning so it was odd. Too bad too. Higgins used to be so good.

   The mussels were outstanding, the service attentive but not pushy. I really love spending time at Higgins. Even though my lunch date had to cancel at the last minute, I felt totally comfortable eating alone -- another reason for loving Higgins. Thanks

    Our food was excellent and the service was fantastic. The noise level of the boomers in the next table was high especially after they all had a round or two, Aside from that it was great.
