From the welcome to the dessert, Higgins hit a home run. We would recommend Higgins for most anyone who loves excellent service and food.

Haven’t been to Higgin’s in a while and last night’s meal showed it is as great as ever. Service was spot on. Shared the asparagus and the snap pea and beet salads. Both were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Salmon was prepared perfectly. And the Totten Inlet mussels were also delightful. Shared a vanilla cardamom panna cotta desert, which was a perfect ending to the meal. Highly recommend this downtown Portland restaurant.

Overall great dinner. We don’t splurge much for fine dining but so glad we did. Everything was planned and prepared with great care for presentation and taste. Really, really delicious food. Staff was attentive and restaurant was just the right amount of busy so easy to enjoy the meal and our company.

Always excellent. My wife and I make it our "go to" before shows and concerts in downtown Portland. Food and service never fail to disappoint.

This is one of Portland’s oldest restaurants; it is also among its best! We rediscovered Higgins last fall, while visiting from Bend. Both experiences—one cocktails and burgers in the bar, and last night in the dining room were outstanding for food and service.

Food is very good albeit on the expensive side. salmon special was fresh, generous and $55.00 - other than the steak the most expensive item on the menu. I eat vegetarian when possible and they had some delicious options, especially the asparagus, which I would absolutely order again. Nice wine selection and a knowledgeable waiter.
