    We went here for our anniversary dinner and made reservations ahead of time that noted that . We asked if we could move our reservation up any sooner and they said we could move 15 minutes sooner, but we would be at a high top table. We said that was fine. They did not tell us that the table we would be sat at was tucked in a corner not even in the bar area. Directly behind us was a little store and our view in front of us was the back of a mounted television set. Not the ambiance we were hoping for when celebrating something. It put a damper on the whole dinner.

    Very disappointing. The restaurant was nicely decorated but the food was phenomenally salty. We had steak, salmon and truffle mac and cheese and all of it was overly salty and very very average.

    Food was great, however there was another table that had booked the same table 1.5 hours after us and they kicked us out due to the other reservation… not a great experience due to it.

    We loved the Thanksgiving buffet, but it was a bit loud. Food was fresh and delicious and the ambiance was perfect.

    Stopped at Hoist House after a gorgeous chilly hike for a birthday lunch. We had a window seat, and a delicious meal. French onion soup was devine, and the cobb salad was perfection. We loved pairing it with a Malbec and a seasonal wine flight. Our server was attentive, gave great recommendations and made sure our birthdays were memorable. Thanks Hoist House! We’ll be back!

    When I look at how much Swiftwater wine we have in our cellar, I say it's time to cancel the wine club. Then we go pickup our wine and eat at the Hoist, and it's always such a great experience that we always leave with our wine (sometime more), and a big smile on our faces! Great food, fun place, excellent service (Abbey), and super wine. It's so worth the hour and 20 minute drive! We look forward to our next visit!!

    Britney was a fabulous server. Very attentive and helpful with recommendations. New menu items were outstanding. Looking forward to trying more of them. Food was amazing.
