   Excellent evening!! Our server Astrid was fantastic and we had a front row table for sunset! Everyone working were so nice & helpful. We always enjoy coming here but, tonight was exceptional.

   Returning for lunch after only four days, my partner and I chose to do a cocktail and two delicious appetizers this time. We’d enjoyed the filled wontons with their soy-hot mustard dipping sauce before, so knew we’d like it again. We also loved the ratatouille-like vegetable dish served with spreadable Surfing goat cheese and naan bread pieces. We’ll be back at least once again before we head home next week! Oh, and Daniel was our excellent server today, part of a great team.

   We were delighted with the menu. There are great varied choices, and lots of gluten free options. The server knew the options, and noted that she could also make some of the non-GF items become GF. Very helpful. We had the seafood chowder, which was delicious with nuances of coconut and other subtle flavours. Fresh seafood, potatoes and a beautiful broth. Very generous portion. The server was courteous and professional. The price very reasonable. We would recommend this restaurant and the dinner.

   We dined here for our wedding anniversary. We requested and got an ocean view table. Service was prompt and attentive, and very friendly. The food was very good quality, but the fish was slightly over cooked. Portions were smaller than expected but this allowed us to try the Hula Pie for dessert, which was delicious. It was nice to have live music, but it was not traditional Hawaiian style, so not our preference. Everything is super expensive on Maui, so no surprise here. I would certainly recommend Hula Grill, but I had better, more reasonably priced food at the South Kihei food trucks.

   Great food - my wife and I both had the Caesar Salad, the Fish of Today (Mahi Mahi with delicious sides) and …of course… the Hula Pia - and outstanding service. Mahalo!

   Everything is consistently wonderful at the Hula Grill! The view of the ocean with Lanai in the background is priceless. The servers are respectful yet fun. And the food is consistently special & delicious. Fish tacos, pork sandwiches, ribs, salads, etc are excellent. For something rare, try their Thai chicken flatbread & ask for their sweet chili sauce to add on top...YUMMMMM! Their roasted vegetable dip with focaccia bread is superior! But the best part is that they provide their dining area free every Sunday at 8am for the Ka-anapali Beach Ministry church service. They have Christian song with hula dancers & Richard always provides a practical message with some humor included. Come for church & stay for brunch❣️

    Disappointed that it was just okay - especially at relatively expensive prices. The least enjoyable of our meals during our one week stay.
